HOME PURCHASE (Lease Purchase available on some units)
WENDCO puts buyers into completely renovated, like new energy-efficient homes at an affordable price.  All homes are rehabilitated to Summit County Building Standards and have a one-year warranty from the date of completion.

We value our clients and walk you through the home buying process.

Our homes are designed for prospective owners looking for a move-in ready property, which has immediate equity and long-term peace of mind.

Through funding received from the Summit County Department of Economic Development, the City of Akron, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), WENDCO is able to provide our clients with generous assistance packages up to $40,000.00.

To qualify for our programs, you must not exceed the income limits on the chart shown below, and be eligible for a mortgage from a reputable lender.  In some cases, we accept program applicants who are committed to working with a short-term credit repair program, in preparation for purchasing a new home.

If you are ready to buy a home today, or are hoping to get into a place of your own in the near future ...

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

In 2010, with the generous support of Forester’s, Inc, KaBOOM!, and the City of Akron, we coordinated an amazing community playground build at Stoner-Hawkins Park. This energizing project was made possible with help from hundreds of neighborhood resident builders, and many local businesses.  The impact of the new playspace is still felt today.  In 2012, we will install motivational step markers in the same park. The markers will measure distance, encourage convenient outdoor activity, and promote physical fitness.

Next in a series of projects designed to promote healthier living and create economic opportunities, we are working with neighborhood residents, and community organizational partners to build a high tunnel garden in Akron’s Summit Lake, which is an area classified as an Urban Food Desert.
